About Fields Enterprises
![]() In 1992 we began raising Miniature Herefords on our ranch in Monroe, Oregon, about 20 miles north of Eugene. We started our herd with four heifers and one bull. We are always on the lookout to acquire top-quality breeding stock, whether through our own breeding program or through outside purchases. There is a variety of different body types and sizes of Miniature Herefords. We strive consistently to produce animals that are chunky overall, thick with muscle, close to the ground, early maturing, fertile, and efficient feed converters. They should have good bone mass, depth of body, straight legs, and a quiet disposition. Animals that don't meet these standards, whether females or bulls, are put on a feeding program and slaughtered. It would be hard to imagine a more delicious cut of beef that is as tender and JUICY. By retaining the best specimens for breeding stock and slaughtering the rest, we have over the years recouped our original investment and built our herd to the size we wanted. |
